Officials linked the Terrorgram Collective to a chilling string of attacks and violent plots.

In a decisive move against violent extremism, the United States has officially labeled the Terrorgram Collective as a “terrorist group.” Operating primarily on the Telegram social media platform, this shadowy network has been implicated in promoting and orchestrating violent white supremacy on a global scale.

The U.S. Department of State announced on Monday that it had imposed sanctions on the group, along with designating three of its leaders as “specially designated global terrorists.”

“The group promotes violent white supremacism, solicits attacks on perceived adversaries, and provides guidance and instructional materials on tactics, methods, and targets,” the department’s statement read. “The group also glorifies those who have conducted such attacks.”

Officials linked the Terrorgram Collective to a chilling string of attacks and violent plots. Among these was a 2022 shooting outside an LGBTQ bar in Slovakia, an alleged plan to attack energy facilities in New Jersey in 2024, and a knife assault at a mosque in Türkiye this past August.

These incidents, authorities say, underscore the group’s commitment to inciting and enabling acts of terror.

“The United States remains deeply concerned about the racially or ethnically motivated violent extremist (REMVE) threat worldwide,” the statement continued, affirming the U.S. government’s commitment to dismantling the transnational networks that fuel violent white supremacy.
